Fine lines respond to skin work. The right combination of laser, microneedling, and topicals can keep them from progressing while smoothing what's there.

Fine lines are surface lines in the skin, typically less than two millimeters deep, that appear before the deeper, dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement. They develop from a combination of dehydration, sun damage, and early collagen loss.
Unlike expression lines (forehead, glabella, crow's feet), fine lines respond best to skin quality work rather than injectables. The treatment is resurfacing, hydration, and collagen building.
Clients come in seeing fine lines for the first time in photos and wanting to address them before they deepen. They're often early in their aesthetic journey and aren't ready for injectables. Skin quality treatments give them meaningful improvement.
Several factors drive fine line development.
Sun damage breaks down collagen and elastin in the skin over decades, leaving the surface less smooth and resilient.
Dehydration at the cellular level makes lines more visible. Hydrated skin reads smoother.
Collagen loss beginning in the late twenties means less structural support beneath the surface.
Smoking and other lifestyle factors accelerate every aspect of fine line development.
Fine lines appear on areas with thin skin and high sun exposure. Around the eyes, on the cheeks below the eyes, on the upper lip (vertical lip lines), and across the forehead.
They're often most visible after washing the face, before moisturizer is applied. They may also be most visible in harsh overhead lighting or selfie cameras.
Fine lines typically appear in the thirties for clients with sun damage history or genetic predisposition, and in the forties for clients with protected skin. Without treatment, they typically progress and combine into deeper wrinkles.
With consistent skincare, sun protection, and periodic professional treatments, fine line progression can be slowed significantly and existing lines can be smoothed.
Fine lines respond to several modalities.
Fractional laser (Halo, Moxi) resurfaces and stimulates collagen, addressing both surface lines and underlying skin quality.
Microneedling with growth factors (SkinPen) builds collagen over a series of sessions.
Chemical peels resurface the affected layers.
Medical-grade skincare with retinoids, peptides, antioxidants, and growth factors is foundational.
Skinvive intradermal HA improves hydration and surface quality.
Fine line work starts with skincare. We prescribe medical-grade retinoids, antioxidants, and barrier-supportive products. Without consistent topical care, in-office treatments produce only partial results.
For most clients, we layer SkinPen microneedling for collagen building with Moxi for surface resurfacing. The combination addresses both depth and surface quality. Most plans use three to four sessions of each across six months.
Skinvive adds hydration at the dermal level and works well for clients with fine lines from dehydration. It's a complement to other treatments rather than a standalone.
For deeper lines that have started to etch, Halo replaces Moxi for more aggressive resurfacing with longer downtime.
At RN Esthetics, every treatment starts with listening. We are nurse practitioners, registered nurses and estheticians who treat every client as the hero of their own story.
No real downtime. You may have mild redness for a short time after extractions, but skin generally looks brighter and more hydrated the same day. Custom facials are easy to do before an event or on a normal day.
The seaside facial is Patty's signature treatment, a slower, deeply relaxing facial built around her massage technique that works the face and the nervous system at once. Patty is the only provider who performs it, so book with her specifically.
We do. The teen and tween facial focuses on active breakouts and, just as much, on education, teaching younger clients how to care for their skin so good habits start early. It is a calm, no-pressure introduction to professional skincare.

Had my first blood draw today with it was INCREDIBLE!!! Also the front desk were all so pleasant especially Kelsie! I highly recommend RN Esthetics!!
I was truly blown away after my appointment here. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers who handled my treatments, was incredible! They made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and were both informative and genuinely kind. The space itself is spotless, cozy, and easily the most inviting place I’ve ever been for Botox. Michelle did my Botox and she was amazing! I also had a hydrafacial and dermaplaning, and I already can’t wait to come back again and again. You will not regret booking here!
I highly recommend RN Esthetics! The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful without making you feel rushed. The facility is spotless and clean, which made me feel even more comfortable and confident being there. Great experience overall!
