Medical weight loss with GLP-1 agonists is one of the most effective tools we have. It's also a serious medical commitment. We screen carefully, run baseline labs, titrate slowly, monitor side effects, and adjust as needed. It works. It's not the right call for everyone.
consultation and education
honest about exit strategy
weight loss begins month 1
no real downtime

GLP-1 medications work in several ways at once. They slow gastric emptying, so you feel full longer. They signal the hypothalamus to reduce hunger. They improve insulin sensitivity. The cumulative effect is decreased appetite and easier maintenance of a caloric deficit.
Treatment starts with consultation and baseline labs to confirm you're an appropriate candidate. We start at the lowest dose and titrate up monthly as tolerated. Most patients see meaningful weight loss within 3 months, with continued progress over 6 to 12 months.
This isn't a treatment we hand off and forget. We see you regularly, monitor for side effects (nausea, fatigue, muscle loss), adjust dosing as needed, and discuss the eventual exit plan when you've reached your goal.
Your provider conducts a full medical intake: weight history, current health, medications, family history. We order baseline lab work (lipids, A1C, thyroid, kidney and liver function). This is a medical program, not a supplement. We need a full picture before prescribing.
First injection is the lowest dose to assess tolerance. You administer it yourself weekly (we teach the technique). Most clients tolerate the starting dose well. Some experience mild nausea or fatigue in the first week as the body adjusts.
Follow-up to review tolerance and discuss dose titration. We adjust dose upward slowly. The goal is the smallest effective dose, not the maximum dose. Many clients reach their plateau at moderate doses rather than the top of the range.
Lab recheck and progress review. We assess weight trajectory, body composition if available, and any side effects. This is also when we have the longer conversation about timeline and end goal. Are we maintaining? Continuing to lose? Tapering?
Medical weight loss is not a quick fix. Some clients stay on indefinitely at maintenance doses. Some taper off over time. Some pulse on and off seasonally. The plan is yours, built with your provider, and revisited every three to six months.
At RN Esthetics, every treatment starts with listening. We are Nurse Practitioners, RNs and Estheticians who treat every client as the hero of their own story.

"
GLP-1s changed what we can offer for weight loss, but they didn't change my approach. We do the lab work. We talk about what you're hoping for, and what's realistic at your timeline. Then we monitor. The medication is one part. The relationship is the rest of it.
"
Every plan starts with comprehensive bloodwork. We don't guess at hormones, deficiencies, or metabolic markers. We test, treat, and recheck.
Wellness is full of products with no data behind them. We use protocols supported by current evidence and skip the rest.
We're not a primary care replacement. We coordinate with PCPs, endocrinologists, dermatologists, and mental health providers when our scope ends and theirs begins.
Wellness work is ongoing. Quarterly bloodwork, regular check-ins, plans that adjust as you do. We're built for that pace.
Current evidence supports long-term use in appropriately selected patients with appropriate monitoring. GLP-1 medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide) have been studied for years in diabetes management, where many patients use them indefinitely. Use for weight management is newer but increasingly well-studied. The honest answer is: we don't have decades of data yet, but the safety profile so far is strong. We monitor with regular labs and adjust as needed. We're not a clinic that puts you on something and walks away.
Each location has its own character. All three share the same standard of care.
Medical weight loss is priced as a program: medication, monthly check-ins, lab work, provider time. Pricing varies depending on which medication you're prescribed and the program length. Some clients have insurance coverage for GLP-1s prescribed for diabetes or weight management; we help navigate that conversation. We don't quote without seeing you.
Most clients regain some weight after stopping, particularly if they stop quickly without behavioral change. This isn't a failure of the medication. It reflects how appetite hormones work. We talk through the exit strategy as part of the plan: tapering down rather than stopping cold, lifestyle infrastructure that supports the new set point, and the option to pulse back on if needed. There's no shame in long-term use if that's what your body needs.
Most common: nausea, fatigue, constipation, diarrhea, especially in the first weeks. These usually resolve as the body adjusts. Less common but serious: pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, severe nausea. We start at the lowest dose and titrate slowly specifically to minimize side effects. If you can't tolerate the medication, we stop and find a different approach. No one is forced to push through symptoms that aren't worth it.
Most clients lose ten to twenty percent of body weight over a six to twelve month period when paired with reasonable lifestyle support. Some lose more. Some lose less. Response is individual. We track progress at each visit and adjust the plan rather than promising a number we can't guarantee. Plateaus are normal. Slower starts are normal. We're patient about it.

Had my first blood draw today with it was INCREDIBLE!!! Also the front desk were all so pleasant especially Kelsie! I highly recommend RN Esthetics!!
I was truly blown away after my appointment here. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers who handled my treatments, was incredible! They made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and were both informative and genuinely kind. The space itself is spotless, cozy, and easily the most inviting place I’ve ever been for Botox. Michelle did my Botox and she was amazing! I also had a hydrafacial and dermaplaning, and I already can’t wait to come back again and again. You will not regret booking here!
I highly recommend RN Esthetics! The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful without making you feel rushed. The facility is spotless and clean, which made me feel even more comfortable and confident being there. Great experience overall!
