The two wavelengths address different layers simultaneously. The ablative 2940nm beam removes a controlled portion of the outer skin layer, which triggers immediate texture improvement and clears surface pigment. The non-ablative 1470nm beam reaches the dermis, where it heats tissue and stimulates collagen production over the months that follow.
Treatment takes 45 to 60 minutes including numbing. The energy delivery itself is 20 to 30 minutes. You'll feel intense heat during the pulses, mitigated by topical numbing applied beforehand.
Visible improvement starts at one week and continues building over six months as the deeper collagen response develops. Most patients see results that last a year or longer with proper skincare and sun protection.
Your provider assesses your candidacy for Halo. The pre-care is serious: two full weeks of strict sun avoidance, five to seven days off retinol, no other treatments in the area. We block your calendar for recovery before booking the session.
Topical numbing for thirty to forty-five minutes before treatment. The hybrid fractional laser delivers ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in a single pass. Sessions run sixty to ninety minutes including numbing.
Day one to two: red and swollen, similar to a strong sunburn. Day two to three: skin bronzes as treated tissue surfaces. Day three to five: the bronzed layer flakes off with gentle cleansing. SPF every day, no exceptions.
Smooth, pink, glowing skin emerges as healing completes. The full collagen response builds over the next three months. Most patients describe peak results at three to six months post-treatment.
Most patients hold the result for one to two years before considering another session. Some choose to do Halo annually for cumulative effect. Some pair it with a series of Moxi or BBL in between.

Wrong wavelength on darker skin causes pigment damage. We use Nd:YAG for Fitzpatrick 4 through 6 and match every setting to your tone, not the protocol default.
Lasers work in series. We plan four to six sessions for most concerns and explain what each session contributes to the cumulative result.
We talk about what laser can and can't do upfront. For deep texture or significant laxity, we name the limits and discuss alternatives.
Tanned skin can't be safely treated. We pause for four to six weeks after sun exposure and require committed SPF use during the treatment series.
