Bloodwork tells the story. Supplementation completes it.

What it is

Nutrient deficiencies are inadequate levels of vitamins, minerals, or micronutrients needed for optimal function. Common deficiencies include vitamin D, B12, iron, magnesium, folate, and others. Many are surprisingly prevalent even in clients eating diverse diets.

Deficiencies often produce nonspecific symptoms (fatigue, brain fog, mood changes) that can be missed in standard medical evaluation but show up clearly on appropriate bloodwork.

Why Patients Seek Treatment

Clients come in with symptoms that haven't been fully explained or addressed. Many have had basic bloodwork that didn't include relevant nutritional markers. We test more comprehensively and treat targeted.

01

What Causes It

Several factors drive nutritional deficiencies.

Dietary patterns with inadequate intake of specific nutrients.

Absorption issues from gastrointestinal conditions, age, certain medications (PPIs, metformin), or surgical history.

Increased needs from pregnancy, breastfeeding, chronic illness, or athletic demands.

Sun exposure patterns affecting vitamin D status.

Genetic variants affecting metabolism of specific nutrients (MTHFR for folate, others for B vitamins).

Blood loss from heavy menstrual cycles affecting iron status.

02

Common Signs

Fatigue, brain fog, hair changes, skin changes, muscle weakness, slow healing, and mood changes can all signal nutritional deficiencies. Specific deficiencies produce specific patterns.

Iron deficiency often presents as fatigue, brittle nails, hair loss, and exercise intolerance. Vitamin D deficiency contributes to fatigue, muscle aches, and mood changes. B12 deficiency causes fatigue, brain fog, and sometimes neurological symptoms.

03

Why It Changes Over Time

Nutritional status shifts with diet, age, life circumstances, and absorption patterns. Many deficiencies develop gradually and persist for years before being recognized.

With targeted supplementation, most deficiencies correct meaningfully within weeks to months.

04

How It's Commonly Addressed

Nutrient deficiency management is straightforward when properly evaluated.

Comprehensive bloodwork to identify specific deficiencies.

Oral supplementation calibrated to severity and individual absorption.

IV therapy for clients with absorption issues or significant deficiencies needing rapid correction.

Dietary support with attention to food sources of relevant nutrients.

Underlying cause evaluation for clients with chronic deficiencies that may suggest absorption issues or other medical contributors.

How we approach nutrient deficiencies

Our approach starts with comprehensive bloodwork. Standard panels plus nutritional markers including ferritin, vitamin D, B12, folate, magnesium, zinc, and others as indicated by symptoms.

From the results, we build a targeted supplementation plan. We use medical-grade supplements with verified bioavailability rather than over-the-counter products with variable quality.

For clients with significant deficiencies or absorption issues, IV therapy provides bridging support while oral supplementation works. We offer Myers cocktail, vitamin D injections, B12 injections, iron infusions (with appropriate evaluation), and other targeted protocols.

We recheck levels at three to six month intervals to confirm correction and adjust dosing.

For clients with chronic deficiencies that don't respond to supplementation, we coordinate with primary care or gastroenterology for evaluation of underlying causes.

I was truly blown away after my appointment here. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers who handled my treatments, was incredible! They made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and were both informative and genuinely kind. The space itself is spotless, cozy, and easily the most inviting place I’ve ever been for Botox. Michelle did my Botox and she was amazing! I also had a hydrafacial and dermaplaning, and I already can’t wait to come back again and again. You will not regret booking here!
