Spider veins and broken vessels along the legs, treated with sclerotherapy or laser depending on caliber.
Spider veins, the small visible vessels on the legs, are common and largely unrelated to deeper venous disease. They develop from a combination of genetics, hormonal changes, pregnancy, and time spent on the feet.
Treatment is simple, conservative, and effective. Sclerotherapy uses a small injection to close the visible vessel. The body absorbs the closed vein over weeks. Larger or more resistant vessels respond to laser. Most clients need a small series of treatments for a complete result.
The leg vasculature has several layers.
Deep veins carry the main blood return from the legs and are not what we treat.
Superficial veins closer to the skin sometimes become visible as reticular veins, the bluish branches.
Spider veins (telangiectasias) are the smallest visible vessels, often pink or red, that branch outward in patterns.
Treatment focuses on the superficial and spider vessels.
Spider veins develop slowly across decades. Pregnancy, hormonal changes, weight gain, and standing occupations all accelerate the appearance.
Genetics play a major role. Clients with family history of varicose or spider veins often develop them earlier.
Spider veins in this decade are uncommon and usually genetic. Treatment is rare.
Pregnancy, weight changes, and genetics may trigger early spider veins. Some clients begin treatment in this decade.
Cumulative changes from hormones, time, and standing occupations make vessels more visible. This is when most clients first consider treatment.
Treatment continues for ongoing concerns. Most clients combine spider vein treatment with broader wellness conversations about circulation, hormones, and overall vascular health.
Sclerotherapy is the workhorse for leg veins. We use a small needle to inject a sclerosing agent directly into the vessel. The agent irritates the vein wall, causing it to close. The body then absorbs the closed vessel over the following weeks.
Treatment is well-tolerated. Most clients describe it as similar to a regular blood draw. We treat in sessions of thirty to sixty minutes. Most clients return every four to six weeks until the result is complete.
Compression stockings worn for a few days after treatment improve outcomes. We provide detailed aftercare instructions.
Each location has its own character. All three share the same standard of care.

Had my first blood draw today with it was INCREDIBLE!!! Also the front desk were all so pleasant especially Kelsie! I highly recommend RN Esthetics!!
I was truly blown away after my appointment here. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers who handled my treatments, was incredible! They made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and were both informative and genuinely kind. The space itself is spotless, cozy, and easily the most inviting place I’ve ever been for Botox. Michelle did my Botox and she was amazing! I also had a hydrafacial and dermaplaning, and I already can’t wait to come back again and again. You will not regret booking here!
I highly recommend RN Esthetics! The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful without making you feel rushed. The facility is spotless and clean, which made me feel even more comfortable and confident being there. Great experience overall!
